Kimi Antonelli, the current leader of the Formula 1 championship, took advantage of his Easter break by visiting Valentino Rossi’s renowned VR46 Motor Ranch in Tavullia, Italy. Following his impressive performance in the 2026 season, including consecutive wins at the Chinese and Japanese Grands Prix, Antonelli has solidified himself as a strong contender for the title. With a five-week gap in the F1 calendar due to the cancellation of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix, the Italian driver decided to enjoy an exciting weekend at Rossi’s ranch.
Sharing glimpses of his experience on social media during Easter, Antonelli was joined by current MotoGP rider Marco Bezzecchi and members of the VR46 Academy at the dirt-track ranch. While his peers hit the track, Antonelli was seen observing the action from solid ground, letting the others showcase their skills on the dirt.
Heading into the break, Antonelli leads the drivers’ standings with 72 points, followed by his Mercedes teammate George Russell with 63 points in second place. Expressing his satisfaction with leading the championship after the Japanese Grand Prix, Antonelli acknowledged the challenges ahead but remained optimistic about his performance. Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton trail behind in the drivers’ standings in third and fourth place respectively.
Looking ahead, the Miami Grand Prix is set to take place from 1-3 May at the Miami International Autodrome, presenting another opportunity for Antonelli to maintain his championship lead.
