In Serdang Bedagai, on July 30, 2025, emotions were overwhelming as Aslina shared her remarkable transformation story. She works at the Nutritional Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) in Cempedak Lobang, Sei Rampah, located just a short distance from her home. During this momentous occasion, she expressed her deep gratitude towards the program that completely changed her life. Alongside regional leaders such as Hasan Nasbi and North Sumatra Governor Bobby Nasution, Aslina tearfully thanked the President for the substantial positive impact the program had on her daily life.
Initially, before joining the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program, Aslina was a dedicated homemaker without any source of income, while her husband had limited earnings as a laborer. However, today, she plays a significant role in preparing healthy meals for school children in her community, bringing a newfound sense of hope into her life. Normawati, another participant, also emphasized how the opportunity to earn extra income close to home has been invaluable in supporting her family, especially her school-going children who benefit greatly from the nutritious meals provided by the MBG program.
