The President revealed that 212 rice milling companies have already been identified for these unethical practices and emphasized the need for them to return the profits obtained through dishonest means. He condemned this behavior as a criminal act that directly violates the Constitution and robs the people of essential resources. President Prabowo has instructed the National Police Chief and Attorney General to investigate, prosecute, and confiscate any companies involved in such schemes. He emphasized that his actions are guided by the Constitution’s mandate to safeguard sectors crucial to the state, including rice production. The President’s determination to combat corruption in the rice trade underscores his commitment to upholding justice and accountability in the country’s economic practices.
