Ferrari’s boss, Frederic Vasseur, believes it is still too early to consider Lewis Hamilton as a potential contender for the Formula 1 2025 championship title despite his victory in the Chinese Grand Prix sprint race. The seven-time F1 world champion won the race on Saturday from pole position in March, his second competitive appearance for Ferrari. However, he has since faced difficulties, getting disqualified from the Shanghai Grand Prix due to technical violations before finishing seventh in Japan and then fifth in Bahrain last weekend. Vasseur emphasized that Hamilton brings valuable experience to the team after joining from Mercedes in the winter. He highlighted the importance of finding the right balance for both drivers and pushing both cars in the same way. Vasseur acknowledged the challenges of achieving the right setup but remains positive about Ferrari’s potential. The competitiveness on the grid makes it tougher for all teams, but Vasseur believes Ferrari has the necessary ingredients to succeed.
