Prabowo Subianto is best known as a military general and politician in Indonesia. In one of his publications, he expressed his vision for Indonesia as a country that provides decent jobs, quality education for all children, affordable basic necessities, and fair prices for farmers’ products. He also emphasized the importance of peaceful and prosperous lives for all citizens, whether they are laborers, teachers, police officers, or healthcare patients.

Subianto’s decision to enter politics was driven by a deep understanding of Indonesia’s history and the economic and political systems. He believed that the economic and democratic principles outlined in Pancasila, Indonesia’s foundational philosophy, offer the best path to build a strong and honorable nation. Subianto also acknowledged the need for political struggle to restore the country’s economic direction. Therefore, he established the Great Indonesia Movement Party (Partai Gerakan Indonesia Raya, or GERINDRA) in 2008.

Despite not becoming the winner, Subianto received significant support in the 2014 and 2019 Indonesian presidential elections. This support, he believed, was based on the vision, mission, and working programs he offered to the Indonesian people. Subianto viewed this as an honor and an opportunity to fight for a just and prosperous Indonesia, in line with the aspirations of the country’s founding fathers.

Subianto stressed the importance of collective political struggle, emphasizing that it is only through unified efforts that meaningful change can be achieved. In pursuit of national prosperity, he emphasized the need to prioritize human development, improve infrastructure, and reduce income disparities. He acknowledged the challenges and complexity of this endeavor, but remained committed to steering Indonesia towards a fair and prosperous future.

In his quest to realize Indonesia’s aspirations, Subianto joined the United Indonesia Cabinet alongside President Joko Widodo and Vice President Ma’ruf Amin, despite their previous electoral competition. He emphasized the need for political education to foster collective consciousness, acknowledging that the fight for social justice and prosperity requires informed and unified action.

Subianto highlighted the necessity of economic comparison and emphasized the need for change to achieve Indonesia’s goals. He called for a collective effort to address neo-colonialism, global capitalism, and the concentration of economic power, stressing that these conditions undermine Indonesia’s potential for independent economic growth.

Overall, Subianto’s message underlined the ongoing struggle to achieve Indonesia’s vision of a just and prosperous nation, emphasizing the need for unified action and a continuous commitment to educating and mobilizing the population. He called on all citizens to work together to create an equitable and prosperous Indonesia.
